On Farm Testing
A. Assessment
Varietal Evaluation
KVK Dungarpur conducted varietal evaluation of fennel using local selection – Abu Sauf (T1), Ajmer Fennel-1 (T2) and Ajmer Fennel-2 (T3) varieties. It was observed that Ajmer Fennel-2 was the maximum (31.40q/ha-1) followed by Ajmer Fennel-1 (25.40q/ha-1) and local selection – Abu Sauf (20.16q/ha-1), respectively. Further, net returns from (T3) Ajmer Fennel-2 was also the highest (Rs 195000 and B:C ratio 8.84) as compared to (T2) Ajmer Fennel-1 (Rs 153125 with B:C ratio 7.72) and (T1) local selection – Abu Sauf (Rs 125625 and B:C ratio 5.29). Hence, Ajmer Fennel-2 variety have easily raise seedling and better performance of transplanting, fennel seed greenish, more number of picking fennel head and maximum yield than other varieties.
KVK, Dungarpur conducted varietal evaluation of Rabi onion using Local practices – local seed (T1), Recommended variety – Agrifound Light Red (T2), NHRDF Red 3 (T3) and NHRDF Red 4 (T4) varieties. It was observed that NHRDF Red 3 was maximum yield (273.4 q/ha) followed by Agrifound Light Red (256.9 q/ha), NHRDF Red 4 (252.6 q/ha) and local seed (190.4 q/ha), respectively. Further, net return from (T3) NHRDF Red 3 was also the highest (Rs. 175730/- and B:C ratio 5.09) as compared to (T2) Agrifound Light Red (162840/- and B:C ratio 4.81), (T4) NHRDF Red 4 (159930/- and B:C ratio 4.79) and (T1) Local seed (133280/- and B:C ratio 3.25), respectively. Hence, NHRDF Red 3 variety has easily raise seedling, better germination and transplanting. NHRDF Red 3 has bulbs size medium and bulb light red color and maximum yield than other varieties.
Saline Soil Management (Natural Resource Management)
In Som Kamla Amba Command Area of Aspur block, Farmers Practice (Rice –wheat cropping system, more amount of water to crops in irrigation, using less FYM, no green manuring, no deep ploughing, sometimes excess use of chemical fertilizers-N and P only), Farmers not taking wheat crop in rabi season not salt tolerant crops and resulted low yield of wheat crop. Yield of barley crop in salt affected soils was assessed by KVK Dungarpur using Deep ploughing (in summer)+ Green Manuring (in rainy season) + FYM+ Salt tolerant crop (Barley, var. RD 2786). Seed rate @125kg/ha+15tone FYM /(10Tone FYM+GM)+75kg N+40 Kg P2O5 +25kg Zinc sulphate. Result showed that use of Green manuring+15ton FYM+ Seed rate @125kg/ha+15tone FYM/(10Tone FYM+GM) +75kg N+40 Kg P2O5 +25kg Zinc sulphate improved soil fertility and barley grain yield up to 37.16per cent as compared to farmer’s practices during the year 2017-18.
Assessment on use of milking stand and stool (Drudgery reducing tool)
An assessment trial was conducted by KVK Dungarpur to assess the drudgery reduction while milking the animals in farm women. T-1 Local practice of milking; while under T-2 Drudgery reducing tool was introduced i.e. revolving milking stool and stand. The acceptability of the improved tool, risk level by Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA), and musculoskeletal problems were assessed on 5 point scale suggested by Corlette & Bishop, 1978. Results of the study were found that the improved tool was 100 per cent accepted by farm women. All the respondent reported 100 per cent reduction of pain in low back & feet and 50 per cent reduction of pain in upper leg/thigh by using improved tool for milking. The risk level found high and very high in local practice was shifted to medium and low risk level by using drudgery reducing tool. All the respondents liked the tool and felt comfortable while performing milking activity with improved tool i.e., revolving milking stool and stand.

Management of unhygienic cattle feeding
An assessment trial was conducted by KVK Dungarpur to assess the Knowledge and awareness among dairy farming families to manage the unhygienic cattle feeding and saving of fodder. T-1 local practice of animal feeding in open dirty place; whereas under T-2 farmers were awaired &knowledge was provided about hygienic cattle feeding management and improved technique was introduced i.e. use of manger for feeding animals. By use of manger for cattle feeding increased 90% knowledge and awareness and 40% fodder saving

B) Refinement
Management of leaf blight disease (Phytophthora colocasiae) of Colocasia
A refinement trial was conducted by KVK Dungarpur Management of leaf blight disease of colocasia. T1- Farmers practice (No use of PP measures); T2- Spray of mancozeb @ 0.25% and T3- Soil treatment with FYM enrich Trichoderma + seed treatment with Trichoderma @ 10g/kg + foliar spray of metalaxyl 4%+ mancozeb 68% (Ridomil MZ -72) @ 2.0g/L at the appearance of the disease observed that yield under refinement group (T3) was the 137% higher (152.40q/ha) than T1 group and giving more profit (Rs 202820 with B:C ratio 2.84) followed by T-2 (84.20q/ha resulting into profit of Rs 80060 with B:C ratio 1.12 and the lowest yield under T1 (64.30q/ha) with a net profit of Rs 44240 and the lowest B:C ratio 0.62, respectively. The technologies have been included in the package of practices of zone-IV B of Rajasthan and widely adopted by the farmers in the adopted villages as well as in the district.

T1- farmers practice (no proper use of pp measures), T2- rhizome treatment with carbendazim + mancozeb (0.1%) for 30minutes, T3- foliar spray of propiconazole (0.1%) at 45 DAS followed by spray of carbendazim + mancozeb (0.2%) at 90 DAS that yield under refinement group (T3) was the 128.19% higher (171.6q/ha) than T1 treatment and giving more profit (Rs. 240100/ha) with B:C ration 1.92 as compared to T1 (0.49). The technologies have been included in the package of practices of zone-IV B of Rajasthan and widely adopted by the farmers in the adopted villages as well as in the district.
